As a Senior CXE Engineer, you will build and operate on enterprise contact center transformations, write Lambda/CDK code, develop React-based tooling, and debug production issues serving thousands of agents and millions of interactions.

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
2+ years building on Amazon Connect or comparable CCaaS platforms at enterprise scale
Strong experience with conversational and generative AI
Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and Python; production React experience
Infrastructure as code expertise with AWS CDK or Terraform
Experience shipping production systems with observability and incident debugging
Excellent client-facing communication and ability to demo work and explain trade-offs

Responsibilities

Build AI-native self-service using Amazon Connect AI agents and Bedrock/Claude models.
Engineer prompts and tool-calling integrations at production scale.
Implement barge-in handling, fallback, and error-recovery for voice AI.
Optimize inference cost and latency with model tier selection and caching.
Diagnose AI agent performance with observability tooling and logs.
Build and maintain agent workspace experiences and serverless backends.
Collaborate directly with customer teams and contribute to practice assets.
