Job summary

Insidesource is seeking a Senior CX Designer to lead high-impact workplace design projects with minimal oversight and deep industry expertise. You will guide design vision, mentor junior staff, and align creative solutions with client business goals while partnering with sales and leadership.

This role requires advanced technical proficiency in CAD/BIM tools, strong communication, and the ability to manage complex projects from pitch to post-installation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years interior design and/or furniture dealership experience.
• Expert in design process, workplace strategy, and project execution for contract furniture industry workflow and processes.
• Familiar with project delivery including site visits, budgeting, and installation.
• Up to date on workplace and industry trends.
• Deep knowledge of building codes, ADA regulations, NEC, and Construction Documents.
• Strong knowledge of furniture resources and reconfiguration projects.
• Leadership to mentor junior/mid-level team members.
• Proficient in CET, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite; Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Validates scope of work and design intent with the Account Manager.
• Develops design strategy and identifies furniture solutions for projects.
• Performs programming sessions to gather client requirements.
• Creates and maintains AutoCAD/Revit/CET drawings and background updates.
• Generates space plans, test fits and layouts.
• Produces final product specifications and installation documents.
• Coordinates fabric and finish selections and lead times.
• Performs onsite verifications and updates floor plans as needed.
• Reviews vendor drawings for alignment with design intent.
• Leads meetings with team and clients and tracks deliverables.
