Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a full-time Surgical Tech for the Cardiovascular Operating Room at South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL. You will be responsible for maintaining a sterile surgical environment and assisting surgeons during procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, completion of a Surgical Technology program, and 2-4 years of experience as a Surgical Tech. Certification in BLS and as CST is required within six months of hiring.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
• National certification as Surgical Technologist within six months of hire.
• 2-4 years of experience as a Surgical Tech.

Responsibilities

• Review preference and verify case cart completely prior to case.
• Maintain an orderly surgical field and pass instruments quickly.
• Participate in sponge, needle, and instruments counts.
