We are a remote-first, distributed workforce of 200+ corporate employees, headquartered in New York. We prioritize engagement through "cameras on," schedule coordination, and cross-functional communication to stay connected. Some roles may require travel to engage in person with school partners, clinicians, and team members.

About This Role

You will manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, providing exceptional customer success and driving growth through renewals and expansion. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, excels in consultative selling, and has a successful track record working with large, complex organizations and education systems.

Role Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Manage a portfolio of school district accounts to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth
  • Identify and secure new stakeholders within districts through outbound prospecting, referrals, and inbound inquiries
  • Lead the full sales cycle from discovery to contract signing
  • Act as a trusted advisor and liaison between Presence and clients
  • Develop tailored solutions based on district challenges
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain accurate records and forecasts in Salesforce
  • Monitor KPIs such as renewal rates, new business, activity, satisfaction, and revenue
  • Present strategic proposals to district leadership and stakeholders
  • Lead onboarding and implementation projects
  • Serve as the primary contact for escalations
  • Build strong relationships with clients, setting regular touchpoints
  • Stay informed on education trends, funding, and competitors
  • Accurately forecast bookings and revenue
  • Travel estimated at 35-50%, including onsite visits and conferences
What we're looking for?

Proven Experience

  • 4–5+ years in quota-carrying sales within K-12, EdTech, or SaaS markets
  • Experience selling to school districts and navigating complex stakeholder cycles
  • Consistent achievement of sales targets
  • Experience leading cross-functional customer projects
  • Success in growing existing accounts and maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Proactive pipeline development skills
  • Ownership of KPIs with disciplined planning
  • Skilled negotiator confident in handling objections and closing deals

Relationship & Communication Skills

  • Trusted advisor to education leaders; polished presenter from pitch to renewal
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Judgment on escalation and internal resource engagement

Education

This role is eligible for Presence’s equity plan, subject to plan terms.

Starting salary will be based on skills, experience, and market conditions.

Base salary range: $80,000-$100,000 + variable commission

  • This is a remote position within the US
  • Preference for candidates residing in CA
  • Reports to the VP of Customer Success
  • Availability on-camera during core hours (noon-5 pm EST, M-F)
