Position

Dow has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Customer Manager supporting our Packaging and Specialty Plastics Business. This role has a preferred alignment to Houston, TX or Midland, MI. Will also consider Virtual office alignment in the United States or Canada for candidates that are close to a major airport for travel purposes.

Responsibilities / Duties
  • Manages account portfolio and prepares and implements sales plans.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to help build marketing plans and collects and utilizes market intelligence to shape the sales/marketing plan, market research and mapping.
  • Develop pipeline of opportunities with new and existing customers and convert them into new sales.
  • Leads and conducts negotiations, implements price changes, and develops long term contract agreements.
  • Leads and coordinates customer relationships working to understand customer needs and identifying potential new clients.
  • Manages sales contracts following Dow guidelines and legal requirements according to each region and country.
  • Executes and implements sales and marketing plans and delivering business goals of volume and value.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.
  • 7+ years experience in technical/sales/commercial related positions
  • Fluent in English
  • The ability to work legally in the country for which you are applying. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position. (U.S. or Canada)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Experience with polyethylene Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) sales
  • Strong Sales excellence experience and prior sales experience

  • Innovation: Practical implementation of ideas that result in new goods or services or improvements.
