Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Solutions Engineer to partner with Accounts to uncover customer needs, craft bespoke security and networking architectures, and demo Proofs of Concept across cloud and developer platforms. You will own onboarding, technical health, and expansion efforts while guiding customers through ROI-driven conversations with executives.

You will leverage expertise in SaaS metrics, stakeholder management, and modern AI tools to accelerate time-to-value, resolve integration

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role in SaaS or security domains.
• Broad technical expertise across web security, networking, routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment.
• SaaS metrics knowledge and ability to translate business value for stakeholders.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Cloudflare developer platform and AI ecosystem (Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize).
• Exposure to prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or RAG architectures is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript (or similar languages).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery.
• Build bespoke architectures and deliver demos and PoCs across Security, Networking, and Developer Platforms.
• Lead or oversee technical onboarding and implementation.
• Serve as the primary executive and engineering contact for customers.
• Own discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk, and expansion strategy with AEs.
• Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to ensure rapid time-to-value and resolve bottlenecks.
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business acquisition and/or account growth.
• Drive platform adoption, revenue retention, and cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.
• Lead technical QBRs and translate platform capabilities into ROI for executives.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout onboarding, maturity, renewal, and expansion.
• Use AI agents and internal platforms to automate RFP/security responses, sandbox provisioning, and telemetry monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering; years required vary by leveling
• Broad technical expertise spanning web security, networking, routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, business value translation, and enterprise sales cycles
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Cloudflare developer platform and AI ecosystem experience, specifically Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize (strongly preferred)
• Experience with prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or RAG architectures (strongly preferred)
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages (strongly preferred)
• Offer may be conditioned on authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws without sponsorship for an export license
