Job summary

Select Door in New York seeks Experienced Craftsmen to perform complex wood shaping, custom assembly, and millwork with on-site repairs. This role acts as a technical advisor to sales and engineering on feasibility and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include quality control, preventative maintenance, and meeting delivery timelines while maintaining safety standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior custom woodwork or door manufacturing experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proven experience in custom architectural woodwork or door manufacturing.
• Experience with shaping, pre-hang, veneering, and SDL.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex custom woodworking, shaping, assembly, and finishing tasks as outlined in department specifications.
• Maintain strict quality control standards for all finished products and components.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery as assigned by the department leader.
• Work overtime as required to meet scheduled customer delivery timelines.
• Work safely and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Offer practical insight to engineering and sales teams regarding custom millwork and door construction.
