Job summary

Eaton Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Senior Custom Order Engineer onsite to design and document power distribution equipment and guide engineers and designers. You will manage on-site supplier visits and use AutoCAD, Design Automation, and MAPICS to meet purchaser requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Two (2) years of experience with AutoCAD and/or other engineering/design software programs.

Responsibilities

• Consult with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
• Develop complex drawings and bills-of-material based on product designs with detail for purchaser’s equipment application.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
• Advise Drafting/Design, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure accurate production of equipment.
• Manage purchaser onsite visits to approve and/or release equipment for shipping.
• Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
• Demonstrate advanced computer skills with Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS.
• Consult with Quality in resolving issues after shipment when required.
• Conduct special development/application projects of a complex nature.
• Inform cost and cycle time improvement activities.
• Conduct technical training guidance and seminars as required.
• Analyze needs and revise Department Policies and Procedures.

Eaton’s Electrical Sector - ARS PDCA division is currently seeking a Senior Custom Order Engineer based onsite at our Eaton Fayetteville, NC facility. Relocation assistance is available to candidates currently residing in the US.The Sr Customer Order Engineer is responsible for providing electrical and mechanical design and documentation support for power distribution product lines. This includes, but is not limited to engineering designs, providing direction to application engineers and designers, utilization of design automation software, and collaborating directly with production, customers, and field sales.The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year.
