Serving at UCLA Health offers an opportunity to utilize your specialized skills to improve the lives of patients, their families, and UCLA Health team members. You will provide essential support that facilitates healing. We welcome you to join us.

Under the supervision of a Custodial Supervisor, you will assist in cleaning assigned areas such as patient rooms, nursing stations, ancillary rooms, exam rooms, procedure rooms, conference rooms, offices, hallways, corridors, and other public areas as needed. You will also assist in training new personnel.

You should be able to operate cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, buffers, wall and window washers, shampoo machines, and floor machines. Responsibilities include sweeping, stripping, and waxing floors, cleaning isolation rooms, performing high and low dusting, and cleaning surfaces with appropriate solutions. Knowledge of the correct use and storage of disinfectants, cleaning solutions, soaps, detergents, and floor waxes is preferred.

Salary range: $21.91 - $26.21 per hour

• Proficiency in operating various housekeeping equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, pressure/steam cleaners, etc.).

• Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks.
