Position Overview

UC Riverside's Auxiliary Facilities Services is recruiting for a Senior Custodian. The full salary range is $20.05 - $27.51 per hour, based on considerations such as education, experience, and organizational needs. The Sr. Custodian performs custodial tasks to care for and maintain campus facilities, including cleaning, disinfecting, and preserving various campus areas. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team, and requires effective communication with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty, and students.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of custodial/housekeeping experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with custodial equipment and chemicals, including safe use and disposal.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures for various floor surfaces.
• Ability to prioritize work orders and emergency requests efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Effective work ethic with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Knowledge of custodial equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency overtime, including weekends, holidays, and various shifts.
