Job summary

USC Auxiliary Services, within USC Housing, seeks a Custodian III to join our team and keep campus facilities clean and welcoming for 65,000+ students, faculty, staff, and guests.

You will perform custodial procedures, assist with basic repairs, help train new staff, and report safety issues. A valid California driver license and ability to lift 30 lbs are required; prior custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma not required.
• Experience: 2 years; combined education/experience acceptable.
• Thorough knowledge of custodial trade and cleaning standards.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Valid CA driver’s license; DMV Pull Notice System participation.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard custodial procedures and maintain cleanliness of assigned facilities.
• Provide customer service to faculty, staff, students, and guests.
• Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting maintenance and repair.
• Assist supervisor with prioritizing work orders and training new staff.
• Maintain inventories of custodial and maintenance supplies and report unsafe conditions.
