Job summary

USC Housing at the University of Southern California seeks a Custodian III to keep facilities clean and well-maintained for students, faculty, staff and guests. You will perform custodial tasks, assist with basic repairs, and support the supervisor in prioritizing work orders, while delivering friendly service to the USC community.

The role requires knowledge of custodial trade, ability to lift 30 lbs, and a valid CA driver's license. Employment safety policies and DMV Pull Notice will apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma not required.
• 2 years of combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience.
• Thorough knowledge of custodial trade and cleaning standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard custodial procedures and maintain cleanliness of assigned facilities.
• Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, students, and guests.
• Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting maintenance and repair procedures.
• Assist supervisor in prioritizing work orders and training new staff.
• Maintain inventories of custodial and maintenance supplies as directed.
• Identify and communicate emergency situations to management.
