Job summary

Florida State University is seeking a Custodial Services supervisor within Facilities to lead Custodial Supervisors, set goals, plan workloads, and coordinate cleaning operations across buildings in Tallahassee.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with two years of related experience or an equivalent combination, and a valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or ability to obtain one. The work schedule is 5:00am to 1:30pm with a 30-minute break.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Custodial Supervisors and provides training, sets goals and determines workloads.
• Plans and establishes methods and frequency for cleaning; communicates with supervisory chain of command.
• Prepares forms, investigates on-the-job accidents, and maintains attendance/leave records.
• Coordinates and schedules special custodial projects; liaises with staff and faculty; minimizes disruption.
• Manages inventory of supplies/equipment and ensures proper use and maintenance.
