Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Senior Cultural Resource Scientist to direct environmental, cultural, and hydrologic analyses in support of energy facilities. The role involves designing programs, coordinating with Operations, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver compliant projects.

Minimum qualifications include advanced degrees and 7+ years in cultural resources management, with strong regulatory and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• BS or Master's in environmental science, biology, hydrology, engineering, anthropology, mathematics with 7+ years of field experience.
• Experience and proficiency with MS Office, including Excel and Access, or industry equivalent software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate agency coordination and consultation as a representative of PSE.
• Develop SOPs, document programmatic evaluations, secure permits/reg approvals, and perform admin duties.
• Perform and coordinate complex environmental analyses across disciplines for plant and office settings.
• Prepare and manage projects.
• Lead field investigations and programmatic monitoring activities.
• Conduct environmental field work including biological/streamflow data collection and cultural management activities.
• Develop compliance reports, SOPs, and documentation of resource management activities.
• Establish and maintain relational databases and data warehousing for operational forecasting.
• Supervise consultants in project support.
• Carry out analyses and design tasks in plant and office settings.
• Develop and maintain tools for managing operating records.
• Maintain data QC and post-processing procedures for field activities.
• Provide support for departmental administrative activities and projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
