Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking a Senior CT Technologist for a full-time, night-shift role. This position involves planning and coordinating CT technical activities, ensuring ALARA dose management, and standardizing protocols across equipment.

It also serves as a float position to cover staffing needs in related departments. Qualifications include graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program, CT certification, ARRT CT registration or Nuclear Medicine

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified as a CT Technologist.
• Within 30 days of hire: BLS - American Heart Association.
• Two years of post-CT certification experience.
• ARRT CT certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate technical activities in the CT Department.
• Develop and implement CT protocols to minimize dose and maximize image quality.
• Ensure protocols align with ALARA and are reviewed by medical leadership and a physicist.
• Float position to support staffing across departments as needed.

We're hiring for a Full-Time Senior CT Technologist position at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska!

Shifts Available:

1.0 FTE, Night Shift, 40 hours per week.

• $10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

• Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Under the supervision of the CT Supervisor, Medical Director and Radiology Management Team, the Senior CT Technologist plans, directs and coordinates all technical activities performed in the CT Department. Responsibility for development and implementation of CT protocols to assure lowest possible dose (ALARA), consistent installation of protocols across all equipment to ensure the highest level of image quality. CT protocols are developed with the Medical Director for the division and are reviewed by a physicist to assure that radiation doses do not exceed those recommended by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This is also a float position where the Senior CT Technologist will work with leadership to help cover potential staffing needs in other departments.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology

• Coursework/Training: Certified as a CT Technologist.

• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography, or

• Upon hire: National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board

• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

• 2 years of Post CT Certification Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as a CT Technologist.

• 1 year of leadership experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
