Job summary

The role requires Florida CRT license, ARRT CT credential, and BLS, with full-time daytime hours and on-site work at TGHI Bruce B Downs campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a 2-year radiologic technology program from an accredited school.
• Florida State License (CRT) must be current and valid.
• ARRT registry and CT registry current.
• BLS through AHA.
• Knowledge of CT procedures and protocols.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to CT testing.
• Familiarity with CT equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescription matches exam and record reasons for the study.
• Explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety and administer contrast when needed.
• Position patient and adjust immobilization to obtain optimal views.
• Operate CT equipment, set exposure factors, and perform reconstructions as ordered.
• Process CT images, assess quality, and ensure diagnostic acceptability.
• Verify patient study matches order in PACS and adjust billing codes as needed.
• Review prior studies with radiologist for assessment.
• Follow ALARA program and radiation protection principles.
• Stock supplies, manage CDs, and perform basic QC.
