Job summary

STR seeks an experienced Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to lead a DoW SAP portfolio at our Woburn, MA facility. The role requires active Top Secret clearance with SAP/SCI eligibility and at least 7 years in security compliance.

You will coordinate with program security teams and customers to ensure regulatory alignment and program integrity. The position involves developing policies, managing documentation, and supporting inspections while ensuring secure operations across SAP

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SAP/SCI eligibility.
• 7+ years of experience as a security representative with SAP/SCI.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent security experience.
• Knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, DoDM 5205.07, FOCI, ITAR.
• Proficiency with MS Office, DISS, JADE, SIMS, TALON, and NISS.
• Experience interpreting security classifications, contracts, and incidents.
• CDSE’s Intro to SAPs completion.
• Strong written and oral communication; discreet handling of sensitive information.
• Independent judgment and compliance orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain robust security posture and compliance for SAP programs per DoDM 5205.07, ICD 705, and IC/DOD policies.
• Serve as primary liaison for SAP program security requirements; provide client-facing service.
• Collaborate with Program Manager and Security disciplines including Personnel Security and CUI teams.
• Lead government inspections, self-inspections, and security assessments.
• Develop and implement security policies, SOPs, P2, OPSEC/transportation plans.
• Oversee document control and classified material accountability; SAP Accountability Officer duties.
• Prepare and administer DD254s and supporting documentation.
• Interpret program requirements and ensure security controls are incorporated.
• Implement security classifications guidance for programs; manage incidents.
