MITRE’s Cryptography, ICAM, and System Assurance department is seeking an engineer with expertise in Nuclear Codes and Cryptography to join a team building security into a modern Air Force weapon system. The selected candidate will contribute to advancing resiliency engineering for a Hill AFB program, Utah, with potential travel to Bedford, MA, McLean, VA, or San Antonio, TX.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 8 years with Bachelor's, or 6 years with Master's, or a PhD with 3 years' experience.
• Familiarity with National Security System cryptography and cybersecurity requirements.
• Ability to clearly summarize technical concepts verbally and in writings/presentations.
• Active Secret U.S. Government security clearance.
• On-site requirement of 5 days a week at Hill AFB or equivalent locations.

Aufgaben

• Conduct engineering analysis of contractor designs in cybersecurity, NC2 cryptography, nuclear codes, and related areas.
• Evaluate designs for NC2 and cryptographic capabilities to meet system requirements.
• Advise on use of cryptographic devices and algorithms per policy; prepare technical presentations.
• Research capabilities for system resilience and security.
• Develop cryptographic roadmaps and integration plans for Air Force weapon systems.
