Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a senior cryptography infrastructure engineer to lead architecture and execution of critical security platforms.

You will define strategic directions for cryptographic solutions across multi-quarter horizons, shaping resilient, low-latency systems in a high-stakes, zero-trust environment. You will mentor a team of senior engineers, enforce rigorous code reviews, and collaborate with Security, Product, and Policy to drive flawless delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building highly available, distributed systems.
• Deep PKI and cryptography expertise with certificate lifecycle management.
• Experience with HSMs or cloud KMS for private key material.
• Proficient in Golang and at least one of Java/C++/Rust.
• Experience leading technical strategy and architecture.

Responsibilities
