Job summary

Blockworks is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to lead the creation and execution of data models and strategies that power our product. You will collaborate with peers to design, develop, and evolve our data pipelines and data warehouse architecture.

You will bring 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, strong SQL (Postgres/dbt), and familiarity with blockchain data sources. The role emphasizes Solana-related pipelines, scalability, and rapid, reliable releases.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience with data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing (4+ years).
• Proficiency in building backend systems at scale with a focus on data processing and ingestion.
• Strong expertise in SQL (Postgres preferred) and data warehousing tools (Timescale, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Experience with blockchain data sources and DevOps tooling (Docker, CI/CD, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of data models and data pipelines feeding the product.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement ETL solutions and source data from multiple data sources.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on architectures and best practices.
• Improve data workflows and automate routine tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Research, Product, and Engineering teams to drive initiatives.
