Confidential seeks a Senior Critical Facilities Lead toOwn power and cooling infrastructure for a hyperscale AI data center, serving as the on-site SME for MEP and liquid cooling. You will help build the facilities team from the ground up and establish standards for operations.

The role is on-site in Indiana or Louisiana with relocation support and a fast interview process. Candidates should have hands-on data center facilities experience and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data center critical facilities operations.
• Strong knowledge of UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC.
• Experience with liquid cooling, commissioning, or new site builds is a plus.
• Excellent communication and hands-on ownership.
• Willing to work on-site in Indiana or Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Own power and cooling infrastructure as SME for MEP systems and liquid cooling.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for technical issues.
• Build and mentor facilities team (initial 4 senior/lead technicians).
• Lead site commissioning, operational readiness, and establish standards and processes.

About The Company

Our client is a rapidly growing AI infrastructure company focused on hyperscale GPU and data center deployments. Backed by a multi-billion-dollar valuation and doubling its headcount, the company is building new owned-and-operated hyperscale facilities across the U.S.

The role

This is a hands‑on, highly technical role with ownership of the site’s power and cooling infrastructure. You’ll be the go‑to expert on‑site, help build the facilities team from the ground up, and shape how a brand‑new hyperscale facility runs.

What You’ll Own

• Power and cooling infrastructure, as the SME for MEP systems and liquid cooling environments
• Tier 3 escalation point for technical issues
• Building and mentoring the facilities team (4 senior/lead technicians to start)
• Site commissioning, operational readiness, and standards and processes from the ground up

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in data center critical facilities operations
• Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, cooling)
• Experience with liquid cooling, commissioning, or new site builds is a big plus
• Strong communication skills and a hands‑on, ownership mindset
• Open to working on‑site in Indiana or Louisiana
