Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
• Minimum two years of direct criminal law paralegal experience in Arizona.
• Experience supporting felony and misdemeanor cases in Arizona.
• Ability to review, summarize, and organize discovery materials.
• Identify missing or incomplete disclosure and escalate concerns.
• Draft criminal defense pleadings and related documents.
• Knowledge of Arizona court procedures and filing practices.
• Experience in Maricopa or Central Arizona courts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and legal case-management software.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys handling felony and misdemeanor criminal matters across Central Arizona.
• Review, organize, and summarize discovery (police reports, footage, interviews, records).
• Identify missing disclosure and prepare discovery summaries and timelines.
• Draft notices, motions, subpoenas, and other pleadings under supervision.
• Assist with hearing, sentencing, and trial preparation.
• Maintain accurate electronic case files and calendar court appearances.
• Coordinate with clients, courts, prosecutors, and law enforcement.
• Communicate with clients by phone, email, and text; explain case updates.
• Track productive time and ensure tasks are completed on time.
