Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the State Bar of Arizona.
• 7+ years of appellate brief-writing experience.
• 5+ years of criminal defense appellate or post-conviction practice.
• Substantial portfolio of criminal appellate briefs as lead author.

Responsibilities

• Handle direct appeals and post-conviction relief in Arizona courts and federal system.
• Litigate Rule 32/Rule 33 post-conviction matters and AEDPA issues.
• Draft and argue post-trial motions with trial counsel.
• Attend oral arguments and PCR evidentiary hearings.
• Coordinate record preparation and trial-team support on appellate issues.
• Provide issue-preservation training and firm-wide guidance.
