Job summary

CRE Finance Council is seeking an experienced Credit Underwriter to assess complex commercial loan requests across C&I and CRE. This role requires thorough financial statement analysis, CAM preparation, and collaboration with Relationship Managers to support sound lending decisions while ensuring compliance with policy.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial credit underwriting in a bank, strong knowledge of loan structuring, covenants, risk ratings, and experience with construction

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial credit underwriting experience in a bank.
• Strong experience underwriting C&I and CRE loans.
• Experience analyzing financial statements, tax returns, global cash flow, and collateral.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex commercial loan requests, primarily C&I and CRE.
• Prepare CAMs and credit presentations.
• Evaluate loan structure, collateral, guarantor strength, and risk.
