Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a senior Loan Review professional to perform complex reviews within the Loan Review Department. You will identify risk, quantify impact on portfolios, and coordinate workflow and reporting.

You will mentor Loan Reviewers, work on regional sampling, and lead the implementation of DiCOM/Abrigo to increase efficiency. A strong background in commercial lending and risk management is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years advanced banking/commercial credit experience with knowledge of loan structuring, underwriting, portfolio management, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Experience with supervisory roles or management is preferred.
• Knowledge of lending and loan products, and current lending regulations.
• Strong financial statement analysis and credit assessment abilities.
• Familiarity with loan review processes and risk-rating methodologies.
• Ability to communicate issues and conclusions to lenders, management, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate global areas of concern observed or discovered during the review process.
• Assist with assigning portfolio work flow and tracking progress weekly.
• Conduct credit reviews of large, complex relationships and discuss issues with lenders, management, and regulators.
• Mentor Loan Reviewers to ensure consistent and accurate work.
• Assist with regional review sampling and preparing board reports to understand risk.
• Lead the use of DiCOM/Abrigo software to improve loan data efficiency.
• Participate in acquisition due diligence as needed, possibly requiring overnight travel.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and internal controls and complete training on time.
