Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc in Denver seeks a Sr Credit Risk Reporting Analyst to perform credit risk analysis, modeling, and reporting, including MTM and collateral considerations. You will develop insights on portfolio risk, reconcile MTM, and support reporting for 10-Q/10-K filings.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Economics or Finance, at least 5 years of credit risk experience, and advanced Excel, with experience in ISDA, EEI, NAEMA, NAESB, and drafting credit support documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years professional credit and collateral risk reporting experience required.
• Experience in credit requirements of ISDA, EEI, NAEMA, NAESB, PPA, PSA, etc.
• Experience drafting credit support documents (Letters of Credit, Parent Guaranty, Surety Bond, CSAs, etc.).
• Expert in financial statement analysis, credit stress test analysis, and credit score modeling.
• Experience using S&P, Moody’s, ECM, SAS, TriplePoint, and other credit related tools.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile data across multiple sources to verify reports.

Responsibilities

• Support structured deal reviews by evaluating exposure and credit risks of potential deals/contracts; develop mitigation strategies and draft security documents.
• Monitor credit agreement MTM vs thresholds; perform margin calls and optimize collateral postings.
• Perform counterparty credit risk analysis; conduct annual creditworthiness reviews and update views.
• Develop insights on portfolio risk positions and coordinate with IT/valuation teams to meet reporting needs.
• Generate credit reports for senior management (SIG Downgrade, Top Ten Exposures, Monthly Margin, Portfolio Ratings, SEC Stress Test).
