Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in service industry with a system-driven approach to credit control
• Excellent knowledge of Excel (crucial)
• Experience with Oracle System – this would be an advantage
• Possess relevant or related financial qualification
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Are self-motivated and have excellent phone manner (crucial)

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily credit control procedures ensuring overdue debts and bad debts are kept to a minimum
• Actively supervise customer accounts to ensure adherence to credit control policies
• Meet all targets set out by the Company Plan
• Process and resolve daily customer accounts queries and issues (invoices/statements)
• Collaborate with relevant departments regarding credit control activities
• Post and allocate receipts accurately and timely
• Balance all accounts monthly
• Maintain files and documentation to a high standard
• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses of outstanding debts and report issues to AR Manager
• Enforce policies and processes within Credit Control, handle ongoing issues
• Handle ad hoc duties as required
