Job summary

aquafinance seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to build analytics-ready datasets and scalable data models supporting underwriting, pricing, and portfolio analytics. You will create reusable SQL assets and reporting solutions using Power BI or Sigma, while collaborating with Data Engineering, IT, and Operations for scalable data architectures.

You will translate complex lending data into trusted analytical assets, ensuring quality, documentation, and maintainability across the analytics stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or commensurate work experience required.
• 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI, or advanced analytics.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with Python, dbt, and Git required.
• Experience developing, validating, reconciling, and troubleshooting complex analytical datasets across multiple systems.
• Experience designing analytics-ready datasets required.
• Snowflake experience preferred; Power BI or Sigma reporting experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain analytics-ready datasets supporting underwriting, credit risk, pricing, originations, collections, dealer oversight, performance, and portfolio analytics.
• Own and evolve the analytical data layer by developing reusable SQL objects, dimensional models, data marts, and curated datasets.
• Build and maintain scalable data transformation workflows using SQL, Python, dbt, Git, and Snowflake scheduling.
• Consolidate and reconcile data from lending and operational systems into trusted analytical products.
• Collaborate with analysts to convert needs into reusable data products and standardized logic.
• Establish BI best practices, metrics, datasets, semantic models, and quality controls.
• Develop, maintain, and share reporting solutions using Power BI, Sigma, or similar tools.
• Design analytical solutions balancing speed, flexibility, performance, and long-term data architecture.
• Coordinate with Data Engineering, IT, and Operations to align solutions with enterprise standards.
