Job summary

eCapital, a leading fintech lender in the US and Canada, seeks a Senior Credit Analyst to evaluate new and existing debtor relationships across the United States and Canada. You will analyze financial statements, set and defend debtor credit limits, and prepare executive-level credit proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis or risk management.
• Experience analyzing diverse commercial businesses.
• Experience in factoring, asset-based lending, or fintech is a strong asset; freight credit preferred.
• Strong financial statement analysis and knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS/ASPE for Canadian companies a plus.
• Experience reviewing credit reports from Dun & Bradstreet, Moody's Analytics, and others.
• Experience working with US and Canadian commercial credit markets.

Responsibilities

• Assess the creditworthiness of current and prospective debtors in the US and Canada.
• Establish debtor credit limits within delegated authority and recommend higher limits to senior management.
• Review accounts receivable quality and concentration to ensure credit criteria are met.
• Collaborate with Sales, Underwriting, Operations, and Leadership to evaluate opportunities and provide risk recommendations.
• Prepare written credit proposals for Executive Credit Committee on large and complex exposures.
• Mentor junior analysts and review their work for quality and consistency.
• Monitor debtor relationships for compliance with parameters and identify emerging risks.
• Assist in developing and implementing policy, procedures, and process improvements.
