SMBC Group in New York seeks a credit analyst to analyze credit quality of US subsidiaries of Japanese and Asian companies and to prepare credit applications. You will report to a team leader and coordinate with relationship managers and US/Japan credit departments.

The role requires evaluating borrower performance, cash flow, and risk, gathering documents, supporting KYC, and assisting in loan origination, amendments, and portfolio reviews.

Formación

• Formal credit training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working at a corporate bank or other financial institution.
• Highly proficient MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred or equivalent education and training.
• Japanese language skill is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze credit quality of US subsidiaries of Japanese and/or Asian companies to prepare credit applications.
• Report to a team leader and collaborate with relationship managers.
• Communicate with credit departments in the US and Japan.
• Conduct analysis of borrowers' performance and projections; cash flow analysis and risk capital calculations.
• Gather documentation to structure deals and assist in drafting pre-screen memos for the Credit Department.
• Conduct quarterly and annual reviews of loan portfolio and support in amendments, new originations, and funding.
