The Role

We’re hiring a Credit Associate to help scale our credit operations and shape the future of small business underwriting. You’ll work directly with senior leadership to analyze credit risk, improve decisioning models, and help build a trusted financial platform from the ground up.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone early in their career (1–3 years of experience) who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to solve real-world financial challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Manage parts of the credit lifecycle, including application review, financial underwriting, and collections
• Analyze financial statements, bank transaction data, and business health indicators to assess creditworthiness
• Assist in developing credit policies, risk scorecards, and fraud prevention processes
• Identify trends and insights in portfolio performance to guide policy improvements
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal to improve underwriting automation and user experience
• Support communication with customers during onboarding and issue resolution

Who You Are

• 1–3 years of experience in credit, underwriting, finance, or related analytical roles
• Strong analytical skills with a solid grasp of financial statements and business fundamentals
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets; SQL familiarity or interest in learning is a plus
• Clear communicator, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail
• Thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
• Passionate about empowering small businesses and building meaningful financial tools
• Experience in fintech, lending, or SMB-focused companies is a bonus
