Are you a detail-oriented professional with expertise in analyzing and underwriting commercial loans? As a Senior Credit Analyst at UBB, you will play a vital role in ensuring loan presentations adhere to regulatory specifications by supporting a lender's book of business. This position is based in Bloomington, Minnesota and will have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week.



Essential Responsibilities


  • Analyzes and underwrites Commercial customers and credit products that include Commercial Real Estate [CRE], Commercial and Industrial [C & I] businesses, agricultural entities, bank holding companies and their subsidiary banks and individuals.
  • Demonstrated financial and risk analysis skills that include:
    • For new originations, reviews loan applications and analyzes credit information to make a general assessment of a customer's creditworthiness.
    • Conducts in-depth review of balance sheet and profit and loss statements presented by applicants for large Commercial loans or lines of credit.
    • Analyzes appraisals for real estate, equipment and / or business value to determine if the Bank is adequately collateralized.
    • Assesses cash flow, liquidity, quality of management, market position and overall business climate to estimate future profitability of business.
    • Assigns risk rating to individual credits.

  • Monitors financial documentation ticklers for accuracy to ensure this information is up-to-date.
  • Performs annual reviews for existing borrowing customers.
  • Develops strong relationships with UBB's correspondent banks that result in an effective sharing of information and partnership.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or similar field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Credit Analyst
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical aptitude
  • Problem solving and presentation skills

Pay Range


  • $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary; depending on education, qualifications, experience
  • Annual bonus target: 7% of annual pay dependent on company and personal performance
