Job summary

Gigantic Playground is seeking a Creative Director, Interactive Experiences, to lead a team of designers and technologists in crafting immersive, interactive experiences across events, apps, and connected retail moments.

You will shape the creative vision, guide client relationships, and push the studio toward innovative formats and hardware. The role requires hands-on leadership and a strong portfolio of interactive work.

Qualifications

10+ years in a creative role focused on interactive, digital, or experience design, including several years directly managing a team.
Strong personal taste backed by a portfolio showing range across interaction design, visual design, and concept development.
Direct experience partnering with enterprise or consumer technology clients, and comfort navigating stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Shape the Creative Vision: define the point of view behind interactive projects and ensure the finished work reflects the original idea.
Lead People and Client Relationships: manage designers, technologists, and producers; act as primary client contact.
Push the Work Forward: explore new formats, hardware, and platforms; introduce AI-assisted tools when helpful.
Own the Details That Make It Real: oversee spatial/environmental decisions and collaborate with production/tech partners to keep concepts grounded.
