Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Real Estate Appraiser to lead complex valuations across commercial, industrial, multifamily, and specialty properties, delivering USPAP-compliant reports for underwriting, acquisition, portfolio analysis, financial reporting and other uses.

You will prepare appraisals independently, supervise QA/QC, mentor junior staff, and engage clients and lenders in meetings while staying current with government regulations and appraisal standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a state Certified General Appraiser License.
• Minimum 3–6 years of professional experience as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser.
• Experience writing appraisal and appraisal reviews for complex properties.
• Solid understanding of valuation concepts and CRE terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete appraisal reports independently on complex properties with QA/QC oversight.
• Conduct market research and prepare income, sales comparison, and cost approaches.
• Present conclusions to clients, lenders, and counsel, defending findings.
• Mentor junior staff and support proposals and business development.
• Engage directly in client meetings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Stay informed on government regulations and appraisal standards.
