Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Real Estate Appraiser to lead complex valuations across commercial properties, delivering USPAP-compliant reports for mortgage underwriting, acquisitions, and portfolio analysis.

The role involves market research, income and cost approach development, and presenting conclusions to lenders and clients. The candidate will prepare complete appraisal reports, supervise assignments, ensure QA/QC, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate or related field (economics/finance).
• Certified General Appraiser License required.
• 3–6 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience.
• Ability to prepare USPAP-compliant appraisal reports.
• Knowledge of real property valuation concepts and local market practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete appraisal reports independently on complex properties.
• Conduct market and property valuations and analyses.
• Develop income, sales comparison, and cost approaches; defend conclusions to clients.
• Mentor junior staff and support proposals and business development.
• Ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance; manage assignments.
