Job summary

Genuine Search Group is seeking an experienced accountant to manage the accounting function for a portfolio of Class A properties in New York. This role requires preparation of financial statements, analysis of general ledgers, and interaction with various stakeholders within the real estate market.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and approximately 3-5+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry within the real estate sector. The role offers a competitive salary of $120K-$135K plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of approximately 3-5+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry within the real estate industry.
• Experience in commercial real estate.
• Knowledge of escalations and experience preparing financial statements on an accrual basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting function for a portfolio of Class A properties.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Analyze general ledger, prepare journal entries and maintain detailed workpaper files.
• Review operations results and provide variance explanations.
• Prepare reconciliations for cash accounts, reserves and escrows.
