Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation in Chicago is seeking a Portfolio Manager Team Lead, Commercial Real Estate, to oversee a CRE Middle Market portfolio and mentor a team of Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts.

You will drive risk assessment, ensure adherence to credit policy, monitor performance, conduct annual reviews, and foster process improvements in collaboration with Lending and Portfolio Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum 7 years' commercial credit experience with CRE knowledge.
• Experience leading a team is preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships in a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CRE Middle Market portfolio management workflow and risk monitoring.
• Mentor Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts through auditing and feedback.
• Coordinate between Lending and Portfolio Management for new business priorities.
• Provide quality control in underwriting to ensure accurate analyses and risk mitigation.
• Monitor portfolio performance and assign risk ratings.
• Lead quarterly and annual risk reviews.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
