Job summary

Provident, a commercial real estate developer, seeks a Sr. Accountant (CRE Development) to manage full-cycle accounting for development and operating assets, from budgets to completion. You will coordinate with project managers and third-party teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely lender draws.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in ground-up development accounting, strong Excel and Yardi skills, and an entrepreneurial, detail-oriented mindset suited to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting in ground-up real estate development and operating assets.
• Experience with commercial/industrial developments and operating assets is a plus.
• Yardi experience; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle accounting for development and operating real estate projects in GAAP/Income Tax Basis.
• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, COGS, and revenue recognition.
• Review general ledger monthly for completeness and compliance with standards.
• Provide financial insights to project managers and third-party property managers.
