Flagstar Bank is seeking a Senior CRE Credit Products Portfolio Manager to strategically structure, negotiate, and manage complex commercial credit relationships in Troy, MI. You will influence credit strategy with market insights, monitor portfolio risk, and mentor junior professionals to shape underwriting best practices.

The role requires deep experience in credit analysis, portfolio management, and legal documentation, with leadership that drives risk-aware growth within the bank.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field or 12+ years of equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in commercial credit analysis, structuring, underwriting, portfolio management and risk analysis.
• Deep expertise in structuring and negotiating complex credit agreements.
• Strong leadership capable of influencing credit strategy and policy.
• Understanding macroeconomic factors impacting credit risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, analysis, and approval of highly complex credit transactions.
• Monitor portfolio risk and identify industry trends and economic factors.
• Partner with RMs and senior leadership on credit negotiations and deal execution.
• Negotiate credit agreements with clients, counsel, and internal teams.
• Mentor junior credit professionals and promote best practices in risk management.
• Identify and raise improvement areas in credit processes to senior leadership.
