Ascendo Resources is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst for our financial institution client’s CRE lending platform in Miami. The role emphasizes underwriting, structuring, and monitoring complex CRE transactions across asset classes, with a focus on presenting recommendations to Credit Committees and supporting policy compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years CRE underwriting experience, advanced financial modeling, and strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years CRE credit underwriting experience.
• Experience across CRE types: multifamily, office, industrial, retail, hospitality.
• Strong financial modeling and cash-flow analysis.
• Experience reviewing tax returns, sponsor statements, and guarantor exposure.
• Experience preparing and defending credit approval packages.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite complex CRE transactions across asset classes.
• Assess acquisitions, construction/development, lease-up, and stabilized assets.
• Evaluate borrower and guarantor financial strength.
• Analyze property-level cash flow: NOI, DSCR, debt yield, LTV.
• Perform stress testing and sensitivity analyses.
• Review market studies, appraisals, rent comps, and collateral valuations.
• Structure loan terms: amortization, covenants, guarantees, reserves, recourse.
• Present recommendations to senior credit leadership and Credit Committees.
• Conduct annual reviews and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Support credit policy compliance and regulatory expectations.
• Mentor and assist junior credit analysts.
