Job summary

Epiq Counsel is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Lawyer for a full-time role based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite. The candidate will support a broad range of real estate matters, including leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio management.

Ideal years of experience are 8–10, with a JD and active U.S. bar. Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills are required to partner with internal clients and external advisors.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Approximately 8–10 years of commercial real estate experience in a law firm, corporate legal dept, or both.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate leases and related agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate leases and related agreements.
• Support real estate acquisition, disposition, and transaction activities across a diverse property portfolio.
• Advise on commercial real estate matters involving owned and leased properties, including operations and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze and resolve legal issues relating to maintenance obligations, easements, and landlord-tenant matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys, business stakeholders, and external advisors to facilitate real estate transactions.
• Research complex legal issues, evaluate risks, and develop practical solutions.
• Build strong relationships with internal clients and the legal team, proactively identifying issues.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Support additional transactions and special projects as needed.
