Job summary

MCD Global Health seeks a Senior Program Associate to support Maine CDC’s Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Program in Augusta. The role focuses on project facilitation, implementation of the Colorectal Cancer Cooperative Agreement, and coordination with Maine CDC and MPCA staff for evaluation and program delivery.

Responsibilities include managing contracts and budgets, coordinating partner clinics, developing EBI work plans, delivering trainings, and ensuring timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field is required.
• Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated cultural competence are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project partners, consumers, and providers of health and behavioral health care.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge and skill in the management of data-driven projects.
• Ability to monitor and provide oversight of local partners’ progress towards deliverable.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, implement, and manage multiple activities at once.
• Ability to gather, synthesize, and summarize a variety of information from many sources.
• Knowledge of contract and grant management.
• Experience developing communication materials, including flyers, brochures, booklets, etc.
• Detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft Office software programs.
• Possess an attitude that fosters a respectful, non-threatening workplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Convene monthly CRC Program Meetings and promote best practices.
• Participate in CRCCP meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
• Manage contracts, budgets, and approve invoices following state protocols.
• Conduct assessment of initial cohort of four FQHCs and discuss results.
• Recruit three additional clinics for needs assessment in Year 03.
• Develop FQHC-specific EBI implementation work plans and review with sites.
• Convene key FQHC staff for kick-off and all-staff trainings.
• Provide technology training and coaching for FQHC teams.
• Launch Project ECHO for CRC Screening and sustainability planning.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance to clinical sites to expedite follow-up colonoscopy.
