Job summary

Reeves Construction Company in Blacksburg, SC seeks an experienced Crane Operator (80 ton to 200 ton) with a strong safety record to join our field crews. You will operate cranes, perform rigging and contribute to complex lifts on highway and site projects.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of related work experience, NCCCO certification, and a valid driver's license, with proven ability to read charts, follow instructions, and work safely in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8–10 years of related work experience.
• NCCCO Certification required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Must have construction experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Punctual, dependable attendance required.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with drug/alcohol testing policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects.
• Pour concrete, drive piling, and set girders, and handle hook work for moving materials.
• Plan all lifts and manage safety during assembly/disassembly of crane and operation.
• Perform rigging inspection and daily equipment inspection.
• Follow hand and verbal commands from rigger or helpers.
• Observe loads’ travel and take action to prevent injuries or damage.
• Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators.
