Job summary

Ijaz & Company is a dynamic, growing CPA firm in Houston seeking a Licensed CPA to join our finance team and lead the accounting function.

You will oversee accounting operations, GAAP reporting, tax planning, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the organization.

Lead budgeting and forecasting, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required.
• Licensed CPA with proven senior accounting experience.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
• Strong financial modeling, auditing, and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance and internal controls.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Lead tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
• Conduct audits and reviews and improve procedures.
• Collaborate with teams for timely financial data.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Develop financial models to support growth and efficiency.
• Mentor junior staff and promote continuous improvement.
