Job summary

Pasco County is seeking an Assistant County Surveyor to lead the Transportation Engineering Department's surveying and mapping initiatives within the CIP. The role supervises three direct reports and oversees eight field and office staff, ensuring scope, cost control, and QA/QC of all outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying or Geomatics required or equivalent combined experience.
• Experience as a Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper preferred.
• Knowledge of Florida Statutes, county codes, and plat review processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee in-house TED CIP surveying and Mapping projects, supervise staff, manage scope and cost, and ensure QA/QC.
• Review consultant surveying proposals and projects.
• Assist with plat submissions reviews for Pasco County.
• Manage SAM/G division projects across county departments and perform administrative duties.
