Job summary

General Mills in Minneapolis seeks a Director, Commercial Contracts & Vendor Management to act as a trusted advisor to procurement and supply chain, handling a broad portfolio of complex commercial agreements worldwide. You will draft, negotiate, and structure indirect and direct materials contracts, software licenses, services, and IP licenses, while developing playbooks and templates to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Minnesota preferred).
7+ years of post-J.D. experience in commercial contracting.
Experience across indirect procurement, direct materials, and supply chain agreements.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial agreements.
Develop templates, negotiation playbooks, and guidelines to drive efficiency.
Provide legal support for vendor management and procurement governance programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Sourcing, Supply Chain, Finance, Digital & Technology).
Identify and mitigate legal risks; escalate significant issues to senior leadership.
