Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS America is seeking a Senior Counsel to support its direct-to-homeowner solar sales and financing business. You will join a team of 19 legal professionals reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, handling consumer protection, regulatory/compliance matters, contracts, licensing, and litigation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic legal advice, manage disputes, supervise outside counsel, and contribute to growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of legal experience with strong litigation and contracts background.
• Top law firm training preferred.
• In-house experience with broad responsibilities preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Experience in direct-to-homeowner solar sales or clean energy a plus.
• Membership in at least one state bar.

Responsibilities

• Support Litigation, Loan, TPO, Sales and Marketing, Fulfillment and Digital teams.
• Provide strategic business-oriented legal advice across functions.
• Resolve consumer disputes, negotiate settlements, and manage outside counsel.
• Lead offensive litigation strategies for recovery of funds and oversee various matters.
• Create legal/commercial forms and educate the business on key issues.
