Job summary

Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel in Northern California with a strong background in landlord-tenant and habitability litigation. The role, based out of Novato, offers flexible work arrangements and opportunities for trial exposure within a collaborative team.

California bar admission is required and a track record of managing complex civil defense matters is valued. The ideal candidate will own cases, develop strategy, oversee discovery, and lead substantive motion practice,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of solid litigation experience
• Must be licensed in the State of California
• Experience with discovery, depositions and trial preparation

Responsibilities

• Develop a case strategy and themes for sophisticated landlord-tenant matters
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials
• Manage discovery, file pleadings, and coordinate with experts
• Lead and mentor junior attorneys while collaborating with the team
• Cultivate relationships with clients and the firm’s practice group
• Strategize for mediation and trial, guiding cases to resolution
