Job summary

Nycedc is looking for a Senior Counsel to provide legal support and representation for complex programs and projects. This role will deliver practical, solution-oriented legal advice and represent the organization's interests in various transactions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and have at least five years of legal experience in areas like real estate and finance. You will be responsible for advising on corporate governance and compliance whilst managing complex transactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of post-law school legal experience focusing on real estate and finance transactions.
• New York State Bar admission is required.
• Ability to convey complex legal concepts concisely.

Responsibilities

• Lead transactional matters including drafting and negotiating various agreements.
• Advise NYCEDC on complex transactions and compliance matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare guidance for NYCEDC staff.
