Job summary

Flagship Pioneering is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join the Legal Transactions team, serving as the strategic business partner for Business Development, Corporate Development, and Pioneering Medicines. You will manage structuring and negotiating complex pharmaceutical licensing and collaboration agreements and coordinate with outside counsel.

The role requires deep life sciences transaction expertise and the ability to navigate high-value deals in a fast-paced biotech environment,

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school and US license to practice.
• 8+ years in complex life sciences transactions, including top-tier law firm experience.
• Deep expertise in pharmaceutical collaborations, licensing, and other significant transactions; M&A is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations on high-value deals in biotech/pharma.
• Excellent executive presence and communication, with ability to advise senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead counsel on strategic transactions across the Flagship ecosystem, including collaborations, licensing, R&D partnerships, and M&A.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to structure deals aligned with Flagship’s strategy and objectives.
• Support other corporate transactions, including financings and restructurings, as needed.
